The Access Mintsoft mobile app offers various settings that let you customise your experience and configure essential features. You can adjust warehouse selection, audio feedback, printer connections, and display preferences to work more efficiently and tailor the app to your specific workflow needs.

All settings are accessible from the main menu and organised into intuitive sections. Your settings are automatically saved and persist across app sessions until you change them or sign out.

Before You Start

Important: Before configuring your settings, ensure you have:

  • The Access Mintsoft app installed on your device.

  • Valid login credentials.

  • Access to at least one warehouse granted by your administrator.

Note: Some settings may be restricted based on your user role and permissions.

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the home screen.

  3. Scroll down to the settings menu section.

  4. Select the settings category you want to configure.

The following settings sections are available:

  • Audio Settings – Sound and speech options for feedback.

  • Printer Settings – Mobile printer configuration for label printing.

  • Scanner Test – Tool to verify your barcode scanner is working correctly.

General Settings

General Settings allow you to configure your working environment, including warehouse selection, display themes, and operational preferences.

Accessing General Settings

  1. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner.

  2. Select General Settings.

Select Warehouse

What it does: Determines which warehouse you're working in. All orders, inventory, and operations are filtered to show only data for the selected warehouse.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, tap Select Warehouse.

  2. Choose your working warehouse from the list.

The selected warehouse name is displayed at the top of the home screen.

Important: You must select a warehouse before you can perform any warehouse operations. The app remembers your selection until you sign out.

Select Warehouse Zone

What it does: Lets you select a specific zone within your warehouse for rebin picking operations.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, tap Select Warehouse Zone.

  2. Choose your working zone from the list.

Note: This option only appears if:

  • You have the Rebin Picking permission.

  • Your warehouse is configured for zone-based rebin picking.

  • A warehouse has been selected.

Change Default Locations

What it does: Controls whether you can modify the default "From" and "To" locations when booking or transferring inventory. When enabled, you can set custom default locations that are pre-filled in inventory transfer forms.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, scroll to the Book / Transfer Inventory section.

  2. Toggle Change Default Locations on or off.

When to use:

  • On – If you frequently transfer inventory between the same locations and want to save time.

  • Off – If you work with varying locations and prefer to manually select each time.

Dark Theme

What it does: Switches the app's colour scheme between light and dark mode. Dark theme reduces eye strain in low-light environments and can help conserve battery on devices with OLED screens.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, scroll to the Other section.

  2. Toggle Dark theme on or off.

The theme change takes effect immediately.

Show Messages at Top

What it does: Controls where notification messages (toasts) appear on your screen.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, scroll to the Other section.

  2. Toggle Show messages at top on or off.

Options:

  • On – Messages appear at the top of the screen.

  • Off – Messages appear at the bottom of the screen (default).

Tip: Choose the position that works best with your device's physical layout and your hand position whilst working.

Show Help Chat

What it does: Controls whether the Intercom help chat icon is visible in the app. The help chat lets you contact support directly from within the app.

How to configure:

  1. In General Settings, scroll to the Other section.

  2. Toggle Show help chat on or off.

When to disable: If you find the chat icon distracting or prefer to contact support through other channels.
