The Access Mintsoft app lets you print despatch notes, courier labels, and ID labels for new cartons and pallets (paid module required) directly from your mobile device. Whilst many operations route via the Courier Print Tool on a PC, you can also print via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for a more portable solution.

This guide explains the recommended hardware, how to set up your printer, and how to connect it to the Access Mintsoft app.

Before You Start

Important: Before setting up mobile printing, ensure you have:

  • A compatible Brother mobile printer (see Recommended Hardware below).

  • The printer set up according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  • For Wi-Fi printing: Your mobile device connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.

  • For Bluetooth printing: Bluetooth enabled on both your mobile device and printer.

Recommended Hardware

We have only tested and support the following printers:

  • Brother Mobile Printers (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi).

Note: We tested on the Brother RJ4250WB. This list will be updated as we add more supported printers in the future.

Setting Up Your Printer

Before connecting your printer to the Access Mintsoft app, you must set up your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth printer according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Wi-Fi Printer Setup

To set up your Wi-Fi printer:

  1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to power on your printer and enable Wi-Fi.

  2. Connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network using the printer's control panel or setup wizard.

  3. Note the printer's network name or IP address if provided.

  4. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Tip: Keep your printer within range of your Wi-Fi router for a stable connection.

Bluetooth Printer Setup

To set up your Bluetooth printer:

  1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to power on your printer and enable Bluetooth.

  2. Put your printer into pairing mode (refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions).

  3. On your mobile device, go to your device's Bluetooth settings.

  4. Locate your printer in the list of available devices and select it to pair.

  5. Complete any pairing prompts that appear.

Tip: Keep your printer within 10 metres of your mobile device for optimal Bluetooth connectivity.

Connecting Your Printer to the Access Mintsoft App

The connection is saved for future use.

Troubleshooting:

  • If no printers appear, verify your printer is on the same network as your mobile device.

  • Check that your printer's Wi-Fi is enabled and functioning.

Important: Ensure your printer is already paired with your mobile device via your device's Bluetooth settings before attempting to connect through the app.

Troubleshooting:

  • If no printers appear, verify your printer's Bluetooth is enabled and in pairing mode.

  • Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is turned on.

  • Try moving closer to the printer (within 10 metres).

  • Check that the printer isn't already connected to another device.

Testing Your Printer Connection

Once you've connected your printer to the Access Mintsoft app, you should test the connection to ensure printing is working correctly.

To print a test label:

  2. Check that the test label prints successfully.

If the test label doesn't print:

  • Verify the printer is powered on and within range.

  • Check that the printer has labels or paper loaded.

  • Disconnect and reconnect the printer in Printer Settings.

  • Restart the printer and try again.

Tip: If you continue to experience issues, refer to your printer manufacturer's troubleshooting guide or contact Access Mintsoft support.

Once your printer is connected, you can print the following directly from the Access Mintsoft app:

  • Despatch notes.
