Access Mintsoft app - One Label Per Pick

Written by Alyssa Reynolds

One Label Per Pick is a mobile app picking method where each individual item in an order has its own shipping label and is treated as a separate pick with a quantity of 1. This method requires that an order's Number of Parcels is equal to it's Total Items. Additionally, this method is ideal for workflows where items are packed and shipped individually, such as operations involving large or bulky items. However, it may not be suitable for workflows where items are packed together at a packing bench.

The One Label Per Pick picking method is best suited to bulky items such as flat-pack furniture that cannot be strapped or packed with other items. Every barcode scan generates a shipping label. It is highly efficient as each label prints to a mobile label printer on the go and the items can then be loaded straight onto a despatch cage/trolley/pallet for the courier. This method is particularly beneficial for operations requiring immediate label printing and loading, ensuring a seamless workflow for large-scale dispatch processes.

Note: For this pick method to work, the courier must supply shipping labels per order in a SKU A-Z sequence. For example:

Page 1 / SKU-A

Page 2 / SKU-B

Page 3 / SKU-C

It would also work if labels per order are non-SKU specific. For example:

Page 1 / Box 1

Page 2 / Box 2

Page 3 / Box 3

One Label Per Pick:

To pick a batch using the One Label Per Pick method on the Access Mintsoft app, please follow the steps below:

  1. On Mintsoft Web Create a batch with the order.

  2. Generate the Courier Labels

  3. Assign the batch to a user, and the picking type to One Label Per Pick.

  4. Go to the Access Mintsoft app

  5. Go to Batch picking, and begin picking the batch.

  6. Scan the Location

  7. Then Scan the Product

  8. The courier label is then sent to the Bluetooth/ Wi-Fi printer. To prevent errors, ensure that courier labels are generated before selecting the 'One Label Per Pick' picking type for the batch.

Note: This feature is designed to be used with a Bluetooth/ Wi-Fi printer, so you can put the label on the parcel as soon as it prints out. There is no PC based packing process in this method.
