Order picking in the Access Mintsoft app allows you to efficiently process customer orders by collecting items from warehouse locations. This guide covers how to navigate the order picking interface, along with Standard Picking and Flexi Picking methods.

Navigate the order picking interface

Before starting to pick orders, familiarise yourself with the app's navigation features:

View and filter orders

The order picking screen contains three tabs:

  • New: Contains all orders waiting to be picked.

  • Paused: Shows orders which have been started but not finished picking yet.

  • Picked: Shows orders that have been picked but not yet dispatched.

To filter your view:

  1. Click the Filter icon in the top right corner.

  2. Select from the following options:

    • Pick Priority.

    • Pick Type.

    • Assignee.

    • Client (3PL only).

  3. Your selected filters will remain visible when searching for orders.

Search for orders

To find a specific order:

  1. Click the magnifying glass icon.

  2. Either:

    • Type the order number.

    • Scan the order barcode.

Standard Picking

Use standard picking when collecting all items for an order in a single pass. To pick an order using standard picking:

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app select Order Picking.

  2. Scan or select the Order then select Confirm.

  3. Scan or Input the Tote ID used.

  4. Next, scan the Product it's requesting from the Location.

  5. Then select Confirm Pick.

  6. Repeat Steps 4-5 for additional products until all items are picked.

  7. The order will show under the Picked tab and is ready to be packed and dispatched.

Flexi Picking

Flexi picking provides more flexibility in how you collect and process orders. To pick an order using flexi picking:

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app select Order Picking.

  2. Scan or select the Order then select Confirm.

  3. Scan or Input the Tote ID used.

    • Alternatively, select Skip and scan a Goods Out location barcode instead.

    • A Goods Out location is used as an interim location for picking. The order is packed and ready to go but waiting on a courier to collect for example. More information on this can be found in our Location Types help guide.

  4. Next, select a Product you want to pick.

  5. Then select Pick Item.

  6. Scan the Product Barcode from the requested location.

  7. Then select Confirm Pick.

  8. Repeat Steps 2-7 until all items have been picked.

    • The Tote ID will remain filled, so you won't need to scan it again for each product.

  9. Next, you can choose to either:

    • Change No. of Parcels: This will allow you to increase the number of parcels on the order if required.

    • Print Courier Label: This will generate the shipping label and send it to the print tool.

    • Despatch Order: You will see a summary of the order contents and then can confirm the dispatch, this will not generate the courier label automatically.

    • Print Despatch Note: This will generate the Despatch Note and send it to the print tool.

    • Mark as Picked: The order will show under the Picked tab and is ready to be packed and dispatched.

    • Mark as Packed: The order will show as Packed on Mintsoft and is ready for dispatch.

Use the options menu during picking

While picking an order, you can access additional actions through the options menu.

To access the options menu:

  1. On the product picking screen, select the three dots icon.

  2. Choose from the following actions:

Assign additional tote to order

Select this option to assign another tote to the current order. The system will also display the current totes assigned.

Pause pick

Select this option to pause the picking process and return to the main menu. The order will appear in the Paused tab.

Skip product

Select this option to skip the current product and move to the next item. Once an item is skipped, you can either:

  • Cancel the order.

  • Mark the order as picked if you want to ship without the skipped items.

If you have double barcode verification enabled and all items are verified successfully during packing, the system will automatically change the order status to Picked.

Flag location

Select this option to report an issue with the current picking location.

  1. The system will show:

    • Current location (where the item is being picked from).

    • All other locations in the warehouse.

  2. Select the location to flag.

  3. Choose the reason for flagging:

    • Missing Product.

    • Damaged Product.

    • Location Damaged.

    • Other (you'll need to provide a specific reason).

Once flagged, the system sends a notification to Warehouse Admins with the Location ID and the user who flagged it. The notification format is: "Location ID: 12345 (name) was flagged when picking by [username]. Please investigate
