Box Packing Screen

You can enable enhanced box packing functionality which allows you to place items in specified boxes and manage the parcels dimensions accordingly, in place of the default Barcode Verification screen. This helps you build up accurate box packing lists, which are useful for larger B2B/wholesale orders. This also allows Mintsoft to send accurate parcel contents and dimensions to specified couriers, for more accurate shipping and billing.

Enabling the Box Packing Screen

This new Box Packing Screen can be enabled via the following steps:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Customer Account Settings

  3. Navigate to the Picking tab

  4. Enable "Use New Box Packing Screen"

  5. Click Save

Once Enabled you can begin to use this functionality, as long as Barcode Verification has been enabled.

Supported Couriers

Currently the following couriers are supported for passing accurate weights and dimensions per parcel:

  • EasyPost

  • AusPost

  • DPD NL

  • More planned for the near future

Using the Box Packing Feature

The feature will show in place of the standard Barcode Verification Page.

Scanning - By default the mouse cursor will sit in the 'Product or Rework Box Barcode' field. You can use a USB barcode scanner to immediately scan either a product or a rework item barcode.

Workflow - When you scan a rework box, it will assign that as Box 1. Any items you scan will go into Box 1. Once you scan an additional box, that will be set as Box 2. Any items you scan will go into Box 2. Repeat this process until all items are verified.

Note: Rework items must be setup with the toggle "Is Shipping Box" ON to function.

Dimensions - If needed, you can select Custom dimensions or assign a Shipping Box Rework Item with stored dimensions manually from the drop down.

Calc Weight -This method auto calculates the weight of the box.

Override - This allows you to select the weight you want to use.

Once the order is fully verified, the box breakdown can also be viewed at the bottom of the Scan Actions page, under Shipping Boxes. If required you are also able to edit the Box within this page.
