Overview
Note: ReBin Picking is a paid module, please discuss this with your Account Manager to learn more.
The ReBin Picking module is a three-stage picking workflow designed for high volume multi-item orders. It optimizes the picking process by separating it into distinct phases: Initial Picking (pickers collect products into totes), Tote Consolidation (totes are received into buffer locations), and Rebin Sorting (products are sorted from totes into final order-specific slots for packing). Efficiency gains can be increased further for larger operations using the option to split larger batches into sub batches by zones in your warehouse and picked separately by dedicated zone pickers.
Prerequisites
Configure ReBin Settings
To configure the ReBin Picking module settings, please do the following:
Navigate to Settings then Customer Account Settings.
Click on the Picking tab.
Configure the following ReBin settings -
ReBin Picking - Split By Zone?
Enable this if you want to split picking work by warehouse zones.
When enabled, sub-batches are automatically assigned to specific zones.
Pickers will only see sub-batches for their assigned zone in the mobile app.
If enabled, please ensure you have set a Zone on the mobile app, please review the Access Mintsoft app - Setting a Zone section below for more information.
ReBin Picking - Tote Prefix
Set a prefix for tote barcode validation (e.g., "TOTE-").
The system will validate that scanned tote barcodes start with this prefix.
Leave blank to allow any barcode format.
ReBin Picking - Slot Prefix
Set a prefix for slot/location barcode validation (e.g., "SLOT-").
The system will validate that scanned slot barcodes start with this prefix.
Leave blank to allow any barcode format.
Tip: Adding prefixes to totes and slots adds an extra layer of validation so that rebin sorters do not scan incorrect slots/totes by mistake
Configure User Permissions
For each mobile user who will perform ReBin picking, please do the following:
Click Settings then Warehouse User Accounts.
Find the relevant user and click Actions.
Click ManageRoles then enable the Module-ReBinPicking role group.
Click Save.
Create ReBin Batches
To create a batch for ReBin picking, please do the following:
Navigate to Picking & Packing then Manage Batches.
Create a new batch with orders you want to include in a ReBin batch.
In the batch settings, find the Mobile Picking Type dropdown.
Select Bulk With Re-Binning from the options.
Set the Mobile Picking Priority if needed (Normal, High, Low).
Click Save.
The system will automatically create sub-batches based on your configuration. If zone-based picking is enabled, sub-batches are assigned to specific zones.
Access Mintsoft app - Setting a Zone
To view and utilise sub-batches on the Access Mintsoft app, please ensure the Warehouse Zone has been selected within the app settings:
Warning: If ReBin Picking - Split By Zone is enabled within Customer Account Settings, you must set a zone on the app.
Within the Access Mintsoft app press the three lines in the top left corner.
Then select General Settings.
Within the Rebin Picking section, select the Warehouse Zone.
If this is set to ALL, sub-batches will not show.

Subsequent scans for same order: Scan the slot barcode to confirm placement.
Place the product in the assigned slot.
Use the tabs to track progress:
To Rebin - Products still needing to be sorted.
