Cartons and Pallets - Creating in bulk

Note: This is a paid module, and it must be enabled before use. Please discuss this with your Account Manager to enable it and learn more.

The Cartons & Pallets module allows you to manage inventory on Carton & Pallet IDs, see an overview of existing cartons and pallets, create new cartons and pallets and generate labels on demand. You can create new Pallets and Cartons in bulk following the steps below. Additionally, the module allows stock allocation by SKU and quantity directly to individual pallets, helping to optimize inventory processes.

Warning: Before uploading the Cartons/Pallets, ensure the module is enabled on your account and you have created Types.


Creating Cartons and Pallets in bulk

The first step is to set up your Carton/Pallet Types on the system. This process lays the groundwork for efficient pallet management and ensures that stocks can be allocated appropriately once initial setup is complete, once this has been done you can create the cartons and pallets. To create new cartons and pallets in bulk, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click Cartons & Pallets then Overview.

  2. Click Upload Cartons/Pallets then Download Template.

  3. Populate the downloaded CSV with the required information -

    • Carton/Pallet code (ID): You must include the prefix of the Carton/Pallet.

    • Storage Media Name: The name of the Carton/Pallet ("Euro Pallet" or "Standard Pallet" for example).

    • (If uploading a Carton) Parent Pallet Code: The code of a pallet containing these new cartons.

    • SSCC: Enter the full SSCC number if needed.

    • Warehouse: The warehouse name on Mintsoft.

    • Location: The location within the warehouse where Carton/Pallet will initially get assigned to (This cannot be blank).

  4. Once populated, click Save.

  5. Back on Mintsoft, (3PL Only) Select the Client or keep as ALL.

  6. Click Choose File to find the CSV.

  7. Finally, click Upload.
