Stock Sync - Common issues and fixes

Stock sync automatically updates your inventory levels between Mintsoft and your connected stores. When stock sync isn't working correctly, your inventory levels may be uncoordinated, leading to overselling or stock discrepancies.

Inventory Tracking

Some integrations require inventory tracking to be enabled at product level before stock changes can synchronise from Mintsoft.

Example

Verify your warehouse mapping and location settings

Incorrect warehouse mapping or invalid location settings can cause stock sync to fail. To check your settings:

  1. Review your warehouse mapping configuration.

  2. Verify the Location ID (for Shopify integrations) is correctly set against the connection.

  3. Ensure the mapped warehouse exists and is active in Mintsoft.

Review integration permissions

Insufficient permissions on the integration setup can prevent stock sync from working. To resolve permission issues:

  1. Access your integration settings.

  2. Check that Read/Write permissions are selected.

  3. Save your changes if any updates were made.

Match products and bundles correctly

Products must be properly matched between systems for stock sync to work.

To ensure correct matching:

  1. Verify products from integrations are matched with products in Mintsoft.

  2. Check that bundles are also correctly matched between systems.

  3. Ensure all matched items have identical SKUs in both systems.

Understand how stock sync triggers

  • New products added to your store after being created in Mintsoft may have missed the initial sync.

  • Manual changes made directly in your store will not synchronise back to Mintsoft.

Tip: To force a sync for new products, adjust the stock level in Mintsoft by 1 unit, then adjust it back.

Verify SKU matching

Mismatched SKUs are a common cause of sync failures. To check SKU matching:

  1. Compare the SKU in Mintsoft with the SKU in your store.

  2. Ensure SKUs match exactly - they are case sensitive.

  3. Check for trailing or leading spaces in the SKU field in either system.

  4. Remove any extra spaces found.
