You can add products to your warehouse system with all their associated details, including categories and images. This article explains how to create individual products and configure all available settings.
Note: To add multiple products at once, upload them via spreadsheet. See our article on uploading products via spreadsheets.
Add a new product
Follow these steps to create a product record:
Go to Products, then click Add New Product.
Complete the required details on each tab.
Click Next to save the product.
Tip: See the sections below for detailed information about each tab.
General tab
Enter basic product information on this tab. Only the SKU and Name fields are required, but adding complete information helps with inventory management.
Required fields
SKU: Enter a unique product identifier with a maximum of 75 characters.
Name: Enter the product name with a maximum of 99 characters.
Optional fields
Client: Select the client this product belongs to. This field is for 3PL warehouses only.
EAN Barcode: Enter the barcode in EAN format.
UPC Barcode: Enter the barcode in UPC format.
Description: Add a detailed product description.
Customs Description: Enter a brief description for customs with a maximum of 50 characters. If you leave this field blank and the courier requires it, the system uses the description or name instead.
MID Code: Enter a customs or international shipping identifier used for commercial invoices and courier integrations, with a maximum of 30 characters.
Country Of Manufacture: Specify the country of origin for customs information.
Discontinued: Mark products as discontinued. See our article on discontinuing products.
Pre-Orderable: Accept orders even when the product is out of stock. When you turn on this option, it works in conjunction with Stock Feed Rules to control how inventory availability is communicated to integrated e-commerce channels such as Shopify and Amazon.
ImageURL: Add a URL to display a product image. The URL must be publicly accessible online.
Pricing and size tab
No fields are mandatory on this tab, but you should enter the product weight to help with courier rules and shipping label creation.
Weight: Enter weight in kilograms.
Height: Enter height in centimetres.
Length: Enter length in centimetres.
Depth: Enter depth in centimetres.
Price: Enter the product price.
Cost Price: Enter the product cost price.
VAT Exempt: Turn on if the product is exempt from VAT.
Extra details tab
Configure additional product settings and options on this tab.
Low Stock Alert Level: Set the threshold for low stock notifications.
Infinite Stock: Turn on for unlimited stock.
Handling Time - Days: Enter the processing time in days before shipment. You can enter a value between 0 and 365.
Tote Capacity: Enter the maximum units per tote for batch picking. When the tote is at capacity, you'll be required to use another tote.
Additional parcels required when despatching: Enter the number of extra parcels needed when shipping the product.
Units Per Parcel: Enter the maximum units packed per parcel.
Packing Instructions: Add special packing notes.
Best Before Date Warning Period in Days: Enter the number of days before expiry to warn.
Packaging: Turn on if the product is packaging material.
PalletSizes (comma-separated): Enter how many units can fit onto a pallet.
UN Number - 4 Digit Number Hazardous Materials: Enter the UN hazardous goods number.
Material: Enter the product material composition.
Categories: Select product categories. You can select multiple categories.
Suppliers: Select product suppliers. You can select multiple suppliers.
Picking/Storage cost tab
This tab is available for Fulfilment and 3PL warehouses only. These settings override the default picking costs configured per client.
Hazardous Details tab
If you ship dangerous goods, please use this tab to provide the required information for shipping.
Note: These fields are only required if you ship hazardous goods.
Hazardous UN Number: Enter the UN number for hazardous materials. Must be exactly 4 digits (for example, 1203, 1950).
Class: Enter the hazardous goods class. Maximum 4 characters (for example, 3, 4.1, 6.1).
Proper Shipping Name: Enter the proper shipping name for the hazardous material. Required, maximum 500 characters.
Packing Code: Enter the packing code.
Tunnel Code: Enter the tunnel code.
Limited Quantity: Indicate if the product qualifies as a limited quantity.
Full Proper Shipping Code: Auto-populated from other fields.
Content ID: Enter the content identifier.
Litres Per Unit: Enter the volume in litres per unit.
Packaging Description: Add a description of the packaging.
Packaging Instructions: Add specific packaging instructions.
Freezing Point: Enter the freezing point temperature.

Defaults -
Add product images
You can add images to products in two ways.
Upload an image file
Go to Products then click Overview.
Click Actions then click Upload Image.
Click Upload File and select an image from your device.
Add an image URL
Go to Products then click Overview.
Click Actions then click Edit.
On the General page, scroll to the ImageURL field and enter the image URL.
Tip: Use image URLs to display product images from supplier websites or other online sources.
Product categories
Categories help you organize products and create targeted rules.
Create a product category
Go to Products then click Extras.
Click Product Categories.
For 3PL warehouses, select a specific Client or keep as ALL.
Enter a Name for the category.
Click Add.
Delete a product category
Go to Products then click Extras.
Click Product Categories.
Click Delete next to the category you want to remove.
