Low Stock Report
The LowStockReport allows you to see all products that currently meet the Threshold you have set on the product. For example, you can set the Low Stock Level to 5 then if the product's stock level meets this or drops below it, the product will be displayed on the report.
Low Stock Alerts
It is possible to set up Low Stock Alerts so selected users can get notified when stock levels reach a set amount. This can be done via Scheduled Reports with the ReportType set to LowStock. You can set the low stock alert level on the product via the Extra Details tab. Or you can upload in bulk via the Product Upload template. All you would need is the SKU and LowStockAlertLevel field to add the levels without affecting existing product data. If you need notifications to manage stock levels across multiple warehouse locations:
Use the low stock alert functionality outlined above to assign minimum thresholds to each location.
Once configured, Mintsoft will generate alerts if stock in one location falls below the set minimum, enabling you to initiate stock transfers from another location to replenish it. To set up alerts for specific SKUs when their stock level gets low:
Navigate to Products then Overview.
Locate the specific SKU for which you want to set the alert.
Click Actions then Edit next to the item.
Click the Extra Details tab.
Enter your desired Low Stock Alert Level and click Save.
When the stock level of this SKU falls below the set threshold, it will be visibly flagged in the Product Overview page to alert you.
Note: Dont remove or rename any of the columns, if they are not needed just leave them blank.
If you have scheduled this Low Stock report, it would only be sent if there is a record in Mintsoft. If there is no record against the warehouse stock was booked in then the report will not be sent. To set up scheduled reports for low stock alerts:
Navigate to Reports then Scheduled Reports in Mintsoft.
Click Add New Report to create a custom schedule for your notifications.
Adjust the frequency of these reports (daily, weekly, etc.) based on your needs. Scheduled reports are a great way to keep your team informed without the need to manually check stock levels.
Inventory - Traffic Light indicator
To give you a low stock overview at a glance you can see Green, Amber or Red colours against your inventory figure on the Products Overview screen. Once a product has a Low Stock Alert Level set. This will use a Traffic Light indicator on the Products Overview screen.
Green: If a products inventory shows in Green, this means the stock level is equal or more than the set Low Stock Alert Level.
Amber: If a products inventory shows in Amber, this means the stock level is below the set Low Stock Alert Level.
Red: Products with a Low Stock Alert Level set will show the inventory in Red if the level hits zero.
Example
In the example below, I have a products Low Stock Alert Level set to 100:
Warehouse 1 shows in Green due to it meeting the low stock level.
Warehouse 2 shows in Red due to it hitting zero.
Warehouse 3 shows in Amber due to it being lower than the low stock level.
