The Mobile role group contains permissions that control access to features in the Access Mintsoft app. These permissions are specifically for Warehouse User Accounts and determine what actions users can perform on their mobile devices. This article lists each permission and explains what it enables users to do.
Core mobile permissions
AdminMobilePicking: Allows the user to be assigned to mobile picking batches and access the Mintsoft mobile picking workflows. This is the core permission required for warehouse users to perform picking operations on the mobile app.
AdminMobileApp-RestrictManualKeyboardScan: When enabled, this permission restricts the user from manually entering barcodes via the on-screen keyboard. Users with this permission must use a physical barcode scanner for all scanning operations in the mobile app. This is useful for warehouses that want to enforce scanner-only input to prevent manual entry errors.
AdminMobileApp-EditOrderAddress: Allows the user to edit an order's delivery address details directly from the mobile app. Without this permission, users cannot modify address information on orders.
AdminMobileApp-CrossWarehouseTransfer: Enables the user to perform inventory transfers between different warehouses from the mobile app. Without this permission, users can only transfer stock within a single warehouse.
ASN receipt permissions
AdminMobileApp-ASNManuallyConfirmReceipt: Allows the user to manually confirm that ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) lines and quantities have been received, bypassing the requirement to scan each item individually during the ASN receipt process.
AdminMobileApp-BulkReceiptASNs: Enables bulk ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) receipt workflows in the mobile app, allowing users to receive multiple ASN lines or entire ASNs in a single bulk process rather than individually.
Picking permissions
AdminMobileApp-ManuallyConfirmPick: Allows the user to manually confirm picked quantities in the mobile picking screens without requiring a barcode scan for each item picked.
AdminMobileApp-ManuallyConfirmPickingQuantity: Allows the user to manually adjust the picked quantity during mobile picking, such as increasing or decreasing from the suggested quantity. This is useful when the actual available stock differs from what the system expects.
AdminMobileApp-ViewAlternativeLocationsWhenPicking: Displays alternative locations where a product is available during mobile picking, allowing users to switch to a different location if the suggested location is inaccessible or out of stock.
Despatch permissions
AdminMobileApp-ScanToDespatchAutoDespatch: When using the Scan to Despatch workflow, this permission automatically despatches the order as soon as a valid shipment barcode is scanned, without requiring additional confirmation steps.
Inventory management permissions
AdminMobileApp-CanSkipCommentTransferInventory: Allows the user to skip entering a comment when performing inventory transfers in the mobile app. When the comment prompt appears, a Skip button will be available. This permission works in conjunction with the Prompt for Comment permission. If prompting is enabled, this permission determines whether the user can skip the comment.
AdminMobileApp-CanSkipCommentBookInventory: Allows the user to skip entering a comment when performing inventory adjustments (book in and book out) in the mobile app. When the comment prompt appears, a Skip button will be available. This permission works in conjunction with the Prompt for Comment permission.
AdminMobileApp-PromptForCommentTransferInventory: When enabled, the mobile app will prompt the user to enter a comment before completing an inventory transfer. This is useful for audit trails and explaining why stock was moved. If this permission is not enabled, users can still add comments via the three-dot menu, but won't be prompted automatically.
AdminMobileApp-PromptForCommentBookInventory: When enabled, the mobile app will prompt the user to enter a comment before completing an inventory adjustment (book in and book out). This is useful for audit trails and explaining stock discrepancies. If this permission is not enabled, users can still add comments via the three-dot menu, but won't be prompted automatically.
Understanding comment permissions
The Prompt for Comment permissions determine whether users are automatically prompted to enter a comment before completing an action. The Can Skip Comment permissions determine whether users can bypass the comment prompt when it appears. If Prompt for Comment is disabled, users can still manually add comments via the three-dot menu on the relevant screens.
