You can display the Unit Price, VAT, and Total on the despatch note for eBay and Amazon orders by enabling the VAT breakdown. When enabled, Mintsoft assumes the marketplace price is gross (including VAT) and automatically calculates:
Net Price (Unit Price) β Price excluding VAT
VAT Amount β Tax amount based on the country VAT rate
Total β Original gross price
This breakdown uses the VAT rate configured for the destination country in Settings then VAT Rates.
Note: Depending on your system configuration, you may see GST Rates or other tax terminology instead of VAT Rates. The functionality works the same way.
(Optional) Configure your custom despatch note template
Before enabling VAT breakdown, ensure your despatch note template includes the necessary columns.
Important: This only applies to customers using a Custom Despatch Note.
Ensure your custom despatch note has the following fields:
UNIT_PRICE β Shows the net price per item
VAT β Shows the VAT amount per item
TOTAL_PRICE β Shows the total including VAT
Important: Without these fields in your template, the VAT breakdown won't appear on despatch notes even when enabled.
Set up VAT rates
To set up VAT rates, follow the steps below.
Click Settings then click VAT Rates.
Choose the Country.
Enter the Rate. This is the VAT rate.
Click Create. This will be applied to product pricing.
Enable VAT breakdown for eBay and Amazon
Click Connect then click Order Integrations.
Click Amazon or eBay.
Locate the affected connection and click Edit.
For Amazon: Click the Amazon MFN tab to access the Breakdown VAT setting.
For eBay: The setting is on the General tab.
Turn on Breakdown VAT.
Click Update.
Repeat these steps for all other connections and channels.
Once enabled, despatch notes and related documents will display the Unit Price (net), VAT, and Total for orders imported from the channel. The VAT breakdown is calculated when orders are imported and affects all documents that display these fields.
eBay only: Country VAT registration numbers (optional)
For eBay integrations, you can configure country-specific VAT registration numbers that will appear on orders.
When editing an eBay connection, click the Country VAT Codes tab.
Select the Country from the dropdown.
Enter your VAT registration number for that country.
Click Add.
Repeat for each country where you have a VAT registration.
Note: If IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) applies to an order, Mintsoft will use the marketplace IOSS number instead of your country VAT code.
