Reactive replenishment tasks can become stuck when stock is unavailable in the source location or when inventory has been moved in bulk whilst tasks are outstanding. Follow these steps to resolve stuck tasks and complete your replenishment.

Why Replen Tasks Become Stuck

If you have Reactive Replen Tasks that are stuck, this could be due to:

  • No stock in the From Location - There is no stock remaining in the location for the exact Product. If the task shows Batch Number, Serial Number, or Expiry Date, the stock must match these attributes exactly.

  • Stock moved to another ReplenOnly or OffHand location - Stock was moved whilst tasks were outstanding, but it was transferred to another ReplenOnly or OffHand location instead of a pickable location. The system only automatically cleans up tasks when stock is moved from a ReplenOnly location to a standard pickable location.

How to Resolve Stuck Replen Tasks

Method 1: Transfer Stock Then Complete Task (Recommended)

Use this method when you need to move stock from one location to another before completing the replenishment task.

  1. Go to Warehouse, then click Transfer Inventory.

  2. Select the Client and the Product shown in the stuck replen task.

  3. Choose the Warehouse.

  4. Select the exact Quantity and a Destination Location that is a pickable location (NOT ReplenOnly or OffHand) and appropriate for the product type.

    • Important: If the task shows Batch, Serial, or Expiry attributes, ensure you are moving stock that matches these exact attributes. The system will only allow you to complete the task with matching stock.

  5. Click Transfer the Inventory.

  6. If you moved stock FROM a ReplenOnly location TO a pickable location, the system may automatically clean up obsolete tasks. Check if your task still appears before proceeding.

  7. Go to Warehouse, then click Reactive Replen Tasks.

  8. Locate your task in the list. Use the filters (Warehouse, Client, Courier Service Type) if needed.

  9. In the Destination Location dropdown, select the location where you want the stock to be moved. The dropdown will only show pickable locations.

    • Note: The Replen button is disabled until you select a destination location.

  10. Optionally adjust the Qty To Replen field if you want to move a different quantity than shown.

  11. Click the Replen button to complete the task.

Method 2: Complete Task Directly

Use this method when stock is already in the correct location and you just need to complete the task.

  1. Go to Warehouse, then click Reactive Replen Tasks.

  2. Locate the stuck task using the filters if needed.

  3. Verify that sufficient stock exists in the Current Location (From Location).

  4. Select a Destination Location from the dropdown (must be a pickable location).

  5. Adjust Qty To Replen if needed.

  6. Click Replen to complete the task.

What Happens When You Complete a Task

When you click the Replen button, Mintsoft will:

  1. Validate that sufficient stock exists in the From Location.

  2. Match attributes (Batch, Serial, Expiry) if the task requires them.

  3. Prioritise stock in this order:

    • First: Stock allocated for replen with matching Courier Service Type (if task is courier-specific).

    • Second: Stock allocated for replen with different Courier Service Types.

    • Third: Stock allocated to orders but not marked for replen.

    • Fourth: Unallocated stock.

  4. Move the stock from the From Location to the Destination Location.

  5. Release orders that were waiting for replenishment (if applicable).

  6. Mark the task as complete.

Success message: Replen Task Completed Successfully!

Error messages you might see:

  • We don't have enough Quantity in that Location to move that many! Max Available: X - Reduce the Qty To Replen or transfer more stock to the location first.

  • Replen Task has already been Completed by: [username] - Someone else already completed this task.
