Access Mintsoft app - Book Inventory

Book new stock, adjust inventory levels, and manage quarantined items using the Access Mintsoft app.

The Book Inventory feature in the Access Mintsoft mobile app allows you to manage your stock levels directly from your mobile device. You can book new stock into the system, adjust existing inventory quantities, quarantine items that need to be set aside, un-quarantine items when they're ready to return to active stock, and scrap quarantined items that need to be removed permanently.

Available actions

Within the Book Inventory feature, you can:

  • Book New Stock: Book new stock into Mintsoft.

  • Adjust Inventory: Add or remove stock to existing products in Mintsoft.

  • Quarantine Item: Mark an item as Quarantine.

  • Unquarantine Item: Un-quarantine an item that was previously Quarantined.

  • Scrap Item: Scrap and remove quarantined stock from Mintsoft.


Book New Stock

Use this process to add new stock into a location.

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app, select Book Inventory.

  2. Select Book New Stock as the action you want to take.

  3. Scan or search for the Product.

  4. Enter the Product Quantity to add to the location.

  5. Next, select Book Inventory.

  6. (If Enabled) You will be asked to enter the Products Attributes.

    • If your products require a Batch Number or Best Before Date please make sure the Log Inbound is set to TRUE.

  7. Scan or search for the location/carton/pallet.

  8. Then select Yes.


Adjust Inventory

Use this process to add or remove stock from items already in a location.

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app, select Book Inventory.

  2. Select Adjust Inventory as the action you want to take.

  3. Scan the Location barcode or select the location from the list.

  4. Scan the Product barcode or select the product from the list.

  5. Increase the number to add stock to Mintsoft or decrease the number to remove stock from Mintsoft.

    • Increasing the number will show the difference in Added Items.

    • Decreasing the number will show the difference in Removed Items.

  6. Next, select Adjust Inventory.

  7. Then select Yes to confirm.

Note: When you increase the number, the app shows the difference in Added Items. When you decrease the number, the app shows the difference in Removed Items.

Quarantine Item

Use this process to mark stock as quarantined and set it aside from your active inventory.

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app, select Book Inventory.

  2. Select Mark as Quarantine as the action you want to take.

  3. Scan the Location barcode or select the location from the list.

  4. Scan the Product barcode or select the product from the list.

  5. Set the quantity for the stock to be quarantined.

  6. Next, select Quarantine Stock.

  7. Then select Yes to confirm.

Important: Adding more stock to quarantine than is available in the location will cause an error.


Un-quarantine Item

Use this process to return quarantined stock to your active inventory.

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app, select Book Inventory.

  2. Select Un-quarantine Item as the action you want to take.

  3. Scan the Location barcode or select the location from the list.

  4. Scan the Product barcode or select the product from the list.

  5. Set the quantity for the stock to be un-quarantined

  6. Next, select Un-Quarantine Stock.

  7. Then select Yes to confirm.

Note: Only products that have at least one unit in quarantine will show in the list.


Scrap Item

Use this process to permanently remove quarantined stock from the system.

  1. Within the Access Mintsoft app, select Book Inventory.

  2. Select Scrap Item as the action you want to take.

  3. Scan the Location barcode or select the location from the list.

  4. Scan the Product barcode or select the product from the list.

  5. Set the quantity for the stock to be scrapped.

  6. Next, select Scrap Stock.

  7. Then select Yes to confirm.

Note: Only products that have at least one unit in quarantine will show in the list.
