Set up courier service codes and mappings

Written by Tom Higgs

Overview

Adding a new courier service to Mintsoft is done in three stages:

  1. Adding the Courier Service.

  2. Adding the Courier Service Codes.

  3. Mapping the Courier Service Codes to the Courier Service.

CourierServiceID and CourierServiceCodeId

Understanding key terms such as CourierServiceID and CourierServiceCodeId is crucial for effective courier service mapping in Mintsoft. CourierServiceID refers to the activated courier service in the system available under Shipping Management > Couriers. On the other hand, CourierServiceCodeId represents the specific service code for each courier, managed under Shipping Management > Extras > Courier Service Codes.

Prerequisite - Adding the Courier Service

Before continuing with this article, please ensure you have added the Courier Service to the required Courier. Review Add new courier or courier service to database to learn more. Additionally, if you need to create duplicate courier services for marketplace-specific requirements, you can add a new service that mirrors the original but includes the marketplace name in the service name (e.g., "Express 24 (Marketplace A)"). This ensures that marketplace-specific needs are met while maintaining consistency in service codes and mappings.
