Overview
Adding a new courier service to Mintsoft is done in three stages:
Adding the Courier Service
Adding the Courier Service Codes
Mapping the Courier Service Codes to the Courier Service
Prerequisite - Adding the Courier Service
Before continuing with this article, please ensure you have added the Courier Service to the required Courier. Review Add new courier or courier service to database to learn more.
Adding the Courier Service Code
We recommend downloading the spreadsheet provided at the end of this guide as your reference for required fields, this document will help you know what codes from the courier go into which fields on Mintsoft.
To add a new courier service code please do the following:
Click Shipping Management then click Extras.
Click Courier Service Codes then click Add New Courier Service Code.
Select the Courier.
Add the codes provided by the courier into the relevant fields using the Mapping Spreadsheet provided at the end of this guide as your reference for required fields.
Please enter a Name in the Description field to help identify it later.
(Optional) Add enhancements in the ExtraCode fields using the Mapping Spreadsheet provided at the end of this guide as your reference for required fields.
Once you have added the relevant information to the service, click Create.
Bulk Adding Courier Service Codes
You can also add courier service codes in bulk by doing the following:
Click Shipping Management then Extras.
Next, click Upload.
Select CourierServiceCodes as the template, then click Download.
Complete the CSV file using the Mapping Spreadsheet provided at the end of this guide as your reference for required fields.
Once you have filled in the CSV, go back to Mintsoft.
Select CourierServiceCodes as the type to upload.
Click Choose File and select the spreadsheet.
Click Upload.
Mapping the Courier Service Code
Once you have added the courier service code, you will then need to map the courier service:
Click Shipping Management then Extras.
Next, click Courier Service Code Mappings then Add New Courier Service Code Mapping.
Find the Courier Service you added within the CourierServiceId dropdown.
Find the Courier Service Code you added within the CourierServiceCodeId dropdown.
You can search by Description.
Click Map.
Mapping Spreadsheet
Please download the Courier Service Code Mappings spreadsheet, which details the required Mintsoft fields for each courier. This will guide you in correctly populating codes for different couriers.
