FedEx Dangerous Goods

We support Dangerous Goods via FedEx, the configuration of this is all handled within an extra code on the services.


Editing the services

Support for Dangerous Goods is all handled within Extra Code 15 of the services.

To set this up please do the following:

  1. Go to Shipping Management.

  2. Then select Extras.

  3. Navigate to, Courier Service Codes.

  4. Find the service and add Extra Code 15 Configuration.

  5. Click Save.

Alternatively you can setup a new service specific for Hazardous goods and configure extra code 15.


Configuring the Extra Codes

Below will explain how the extra code should be configured.

Configuration:

  • DANGEROUS_GOODS;{regulation};{accessibility};{options};{cargoAircraftOnly}

  • BATTERY;{batteryPackingType};{batteryRegulatoryType};{batteryMaterialType}

DANGEROUS_GOODS Options:

  • Regulation- HazardousCommodityRegulationTypes The regulation under which the DG data has been validated.

    • "ADR"

    • "DOT"

    • "IATA"

    • "ORMD"

  • Accessibility

    • "ACCESSIBLE" - The item must be fully accessible on the aircraft, and is more strictly controlled.

    • "INACCESSIBLE" - The item does not have to be accessable on the aircraft.

  • Options

    • "HAZARDOUS_MATERIALS"

    • "BATTERY"

    • "ORM_D"

    • "REPORTABLE_QUANTITIES"

    • "SMALL_QUANTITY_EXCEPTION"

    • "LIMITED_QUANTITIES_COMMODITIES"

  • CargoAircraftOnly

    • True

BATTERY Options:

  • BatteryPackingType - Packing arrangement of the battery.

    • "CONTAINED_IN_EQUIPMENT"

    • "PACKED_WITH_EQUIPMENT"

  • BatteryRegulatoryType - Regulation specific classification for the battery.

    • "IATA_SECTION_II"

  • BatteryMaterialType - Material composition of the battery.

    • "LITHIUM_METAL"

    • "LITHIUM_ION"
