This article helps you troubleshoot common problems you might encounter when setting up or using courier pricing in Mintsoft. It covers configuration errors, pricing application issues, and CSV import problems.

Configuration Errors

"A country or shipping zone must be selected" Error

  • Problem: You see the error message "A country or shipping zone must be selected".

  • Cause: You didn't select either a country or shipping zone when configuring your courier price.

  • Solution: Select either a country or a shipping zone. You must choose one, but not both.

"You must only select a shipping zone or country not both!" Error

  • Problem: You see the error message "You must only select a shipping zone or country not both!".

  • Cause: Both the country and shipping zone fields are selected.

  • Solution: Clear one of the two fields. Only one is allowed per price configuration.

Pricing Application Issues

Prices Aren't Being Applied to Orders

  • Problem: Courier prices aren't being applied to your orders.

  • Cause: There are multiple possible reasons why prices might not apply correctly.

  • Solutions:

    • Check the weight bands. Ensure your order weight falls within an existing price bracket.

    • Verify the country matches. Check if you need a specific country price rather than using "ALL".

    • Check if "Exclude From Auto Determine" is enabled. Disable it if you want auto-pricing to work.

    • Review the Price Selection Priority. A more specific price may be taking precedence over the one you expect.

The Calculated Price Is Higher Than Expected

  • Problem: The courier price calculated for your order is higher than you expected.

  • Cause: A fuel surcharge may be applied to the base price.

  • Solution: Check the Courier Service settings for the fuel surcharge percentage.

CSV Import Problems

"Unable to find client with shortname: XXX" Error

  • Problem: Your CSV import fails with the error "Unable to find client with shortname: XXX".

  • Cause: The client name in your CSV file doesn't exactly match the Short Name configured in Mintsoft.

  • Solution:

    1. Go to Client Management.

    2. Go to Clients.

    3. Verify the exact Short Name spelling, including spaces and capitalisation.

"Sequence contains more than one element" Error

  • Problem: Your CSV import fails with the error "Sequence contains more than one element".

  • Cause: You have duplicate country entries in your database.

  • Solution: Contact your system administrator to remove the duplicate country records.
