You can export report data to a CSV file for analysis or record-keeping. The export method depends on the report type and the amount of data you're exporting.

Choose your export method

Reports display one of two export options, depending on the report type.

Bulk Export button or Export to CSV button

These buttons export all filtered data from your report, regardless of how many entries are displayed on screen. You don't need to adjust any settings before clicking these buttons.

CSV button

This button exports only the data currently visible in the table, based on your Show Entries selection.

Important: If your report shows a CSV button, set the Show Entries dropdown to 1000 entries (the maximum available) before clicking CSV. This ensures you export the most data possible. The CSV button only exports what's currently visible in the table.

Note: If your report has a Bulk Export or Export to CSV button, you don't need to change the Show Entries setting. These buttons automatically export all filtered data.

Export your report

To export your report data, follow these steps:

  1. Apply any filters to your report to refine the data you want to export.

  2. If your report shows a CSV button, set the Show Entries dropdown to 1000.

  3. Click Bulk Export, Export to CSV, or CSV, depending on which button your report displays.

Understanding export processing

The system processes your export differently depending on the amount of data:

Small exports (50,000 records or fewer)

Your CSV file downloads immediately to your device. You can open and use it straight away.

Large exports (more than 50,000 records)

The system processes your export in the background. You'll see a success message on screen confirming the export has been queued. You can continue working whilst the export is being generated.

Access your export

Once your large export is ready, you'll receive notifications in two ways:

In-app notification

You'll receive a notification within Mintsoft when your export is complete. The notification contains your exported CSV file or a link to download it.

Email notification

You'll also receive an email with a download link to your CSV file.

Important: Export download links expire after 7 days. Make sure to download your export within this timeframe. If your link expires, you'll need to re-run the export.

Reports supporting bulk export

You can use the bulk export feature with these reports:

  • Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN) Report

  • Back Order SKUs Report

  • Batch Summary Report

  • Bundle Breakdown Report

  • Carton/Pallet Report

  • Cost Price Courier by Order Report

Tips for successful exports

Follow these tips to ensure your exports run smoothly:

Apply filters before exporting

Use report filters to refine your data before exporting. This reduces the export size and helps you focus on the specific data you need.

Download within 7 days

Always download your large exports within 7 days of receiving the notification. After this period, you'll need to generate the export again.

Check your notification settings

If you don't receive your export notification, check your in-app notification settings and your email spam folder.

Troubleshooting

'Nothing to export' message

If you see this message, either no data matches your current filters, or the report contains no data. Review your filter settings or check that data exists for the selected criteria.

Export not received

If you don't receive your export notification, check your in-app notification settings are enabled and check your email spam or junk folder.

Link expired

If your download link has expired, re-run the export following the steps above. Your new export will be processed and you'll receive fresh notification links.
