Overview

Mintsoft's use of this rule is particularly useful for ensuring accurate customs declarations when handling the export of goods.

The order rule action UseProductCostInPlaceOfPricing will allow you to use the CostPrice field instead of the Price field, this Order rule action will apply to all products on the order. This can also be useful if you are importing orders from a custom Mintsoft API, you can use this order rule action to use the cost price for products (By default it won't pull the sale price if no price provided in the request).

It also ensures that for scenarios like gifted items or when sale prices do not align with internal cost values, accurate values are declared in customs documentation.

For Example

  • Product: Bottle of Water.

  • CostPrice: 1.

  • Price: 2.

If the Order Rule were run, it would display the CostPrice of 1 on the order instead of the Price 2

Additionally, practical applications include accurately declaring costs for gifted items or ensuring compliance when internal costs are preferred over sales pricing.

Setup

  • Leave the Param empty.

  • Choose your Conditions (For Example Courier Service Contains DPD).
