Custom Portal (Whitelabelling) - Configuration and Setup

Written by Alyssa Reynolds

This article explains how to set up a custom URL for your Mintsoft portal.

Before you start

To complete this setup, you'll need:

  • Access to your domain's DNS settings.

  • The Custom URL module (chargeable - contact your Account Manager).

Update your DNS settings

Configure your DNS to point your custom domain to Mintsoft. This can be done with help from your DNS provider. You will need to setup both a CNAME record and a TXT record.

CNAME

  1. Access your domain's DNS management panel.

  2. Add a CNAME record with these details:

    • Name: Your portal subdomain (e.g., 'portal' if your URL is portal.mywebsitename.com).

    • Type: CNAME.

    • Data: om-custom.mintsoft.co.uk.

TXT Record

You will now need to set a TXT record with your subdomain included (which helps map this to our web site)

  • Name = asuid.<subdomain> (e.g. asuid.go)

  • Value = EB7693FAC0BFAE438BEB74CF102E05CF17504792355867451D5A2B95173E2153

Uploading the SSL

The SSL itself no longer needs to be provided, after the above is done, please contact the Mintsoft support team with the below, and the support team will set this for you.

  • Custom Domain - e.g. om.customer.co.uk

Once saved down, it'll take a few minutes to apply via a background function

Logos and Custom Colour Scheme

Logos

  • The Main Login Logo for use on the login screen – recommend that this is 400px wide.

  • A smaller logo that will appear on the top of each page - this needs to be a fixed size of 121px X 50px.

  • A Favicon – 32x32 or 64x64 is recommended.

Hex Colours if Custom Colour Scheme is required

  1. Main Menu.

  2. Main Menu Link (Menu text).

  3. Main Menu Hover Link (Menu highlighted box).

  4. Logo Background.
