Frequency settings control how often your cycle count rule automatically generates a stock take. You can choose from four frequency types β€” daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly β€” each with its own sub-fields to define the exact schedule.

Frequency settings are configured when creating or editing a cycle count rule. You will need the Admin role to access these settings.

Note: This feature is currently being beta tested. Check future release notes to see once added to general release.

Select a Frequency Type

When creating or editing a Cycle Count rule, select your frequency type from the Frequency Type dropdown. The available options are Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly. Selecting a frequency type reveals the relevant sub-fields for that option.

Daily

Select Daily to generate a Stock Take every day. There are no additional sub-fields to configure for daily frequency.

Weekly

Select Weekly to generate a stock take on a recurring weekly schedule. Configure the following sub-fields:

  • Repeat every week(s) β€” enter how many weeks between each generated Stock Take. For example, enter 2 to trigger every two weeks. The default is 1.

  • Day of week to trigger β€” select which day of the week the Stock Take is generated, from Sunday through to Saturday.

Monthly

Select Monthly to generate a Stock Take on a recurring monthly schedule. Configure the following sub-fields:

  • Repeat every month(s) β€” enter how many months between each generated Stock Take. The default is 1.

  • Day of month (1–31) β€” select which day of the month the Stock Take is generated. If the selected day does not exist in a given month, the Stock Take will be generated on the last day of that month instead.

Yearly

Select Yearly to generate a Stock Take once a year on a specific date. Configure the following sub-field:

  • Date β€” select the specific date each year when the Stock Take is generated. This field is required.
